I rented one to try out. Also there are few returns and/or slight damage the last time I was at his shop. (2 months ago). If you are looking for a cheap deal, this is the way to go. In the end, I wanted my own greasy fingers on a camper before anyone touch it. The black storm I have is popular. He sold mine a few times before I had time to come and pick up. He is 1.5 hrs from you.

He may be flexible to work with, but I'm beginning to have serious reservations about how they act after the sale. My check cleared and they've had my money for a week. They promised to ship 3 days ago. Then yesterday. Now it appears that it hasn't been shipped yet today either. You said he sold yours a few times before you could pick it up. I'm beginning to wonder if that's what's happened with mine. Great treatment before the sale. Not so great after they have my money.

I'm beginning to wonder if that's what's happened with mine. That was my fault. I had an outstanding balance and I explained my situation to why I could not pick up. Beside mine was special ordered and the first one to do so. Once people saw my camper, they wanted it right away. It does take 3-6 months or so for special order. He was flexible and pleasant to work with. I am sure there is a simple reason. All will end well with you.

Let's hope, but a bad taste is developing. They "claim" (No Pro or Tracking info yet!) they are shipping to Atlanta via a carrier that does not leave Californicate or the Pacific Northwest. Kind of stupid, imo. Since I'm paying the shipping charges, I should have been given a say in the matter. Transferring between carriers raises the damage potential exponentially. Needless to say, if there is any evidence of damage, delivery will be refused. I am not about to try to pursue a damage claim with multiple carriers.

PO's of mine added a memory foam mattress topper--wow is this thing comfortable!! There are some that come up good used(how I bought mine and a Rover friend in WA bought his) on expeditionportal.com -Jeremy

I'd really like to snoop around your 300GDT(drool!).
