| FS 1979 280GE and 1983 230GE mostly converted to 617A
These are both going on Ebay tomorrow.
Some on the forum are familiar to the 1979 as I had it at Dais last year. The clutch is slipping but otherwise great. 4 speed, front and rear locking diffs, it has been rolled but massaged back into shape by a very good body guy. It soes however still show signs of the roll. It has a roof skin from another g welded and seam sealed on top of the damaged original skin which offers more strength in the roof.
The 1983 was bought to convert as it has had a n engine fire and I have bought $4500 or so worth of parts and done most of the work. It needs the gauges wired and the transmission moved back. The 617A engone will come with it. I have just adjusted the valves and reamed and replaced the glow plugs. The engine is in the back of the g and it is on blocks back there to eliminate sagging.
I am asking $8700 for the 1979
and $8900 for the 1983 with ambulance doors and very little rust. The engine is ready to go in and the wiring harness has been replaced with a harness sourced through . It is a factory automatic.
