| WTB: OM617A and 711.117/711.113 transmission
Hi folks. First post on the board, but I've been lurking for a while. I have an `82 RHD W460 300GD that currently runs a N/A OM617. Lovely engine, but a bit underpowered in this application.
I'm looking for a solid OM617A to give it a bit more grunt, and a 5sp manual trans to make highway driving more comfortable. The 711.117 and 711.113 transmissions have the right gearing, not sure about others. I'd like to stay away from the Getrag, as I hear they're a bit fragile for off-road use in such a heavy truck.
