Off Topic: Converting DVD to MPEG

I have downloaded DVDx to rip a DVD file to MPG. It is only 3 minutes of footage but the file size is 33 MB.
How can I get it down to a smaller size in order for me to post it?

Thanks
Johann

You have to run it through video compression software.  I was using some freeware about a year ago that would do this but I can't for the life of me remember what the name of it is now.  I'll let you know when I remember or figure it out.  Sorry for not being more helpful.  I haven't used DVDx but if there is a compression option then you should of course play with that.
