Nice wheels but wrong car brand... Tried every german wheel website I know but couldn´t find them. Might be easier to find a stolen bicycle in Beijing...

No luck! I looked everywhere and I couldn't find wheels that look exactly like those. I know some Ferrari wheels are quite similar but there is the Ferrari horse crest on the hubcap. Maybe this is a copy. However, you might want to go to this site just for fun:

http://www.wheelenhancement.com/index.php?t=Wheels

They show 128 great wheel models!

I don't have any experience with Asante but from what I've read, they are pretty good. I looked at their site and they have alot of good style wheels. Asante here in the states are more popular with the bling crowd, lowriders, SUV's, etc, cuz most of the time, you see them in chrome, not very sporty on a sports car IMHO.

YNOT,
i was thinking maybe these with brused aluminium center and chromed outer.
I dont think they look much 'bling'ier than yours at the moment.
Theyre kinda the same style (well those are anyway... asanti have bling'ier wheels than them).

You have great taste in wheels those are the ones that I like, just a little warning on chrome, if not done right, it'll start chipping in a year, many people on the car forums have problems with them. Brushed is a better finished, it'll match your Iridium silver perfectly and looks aggressive more appropriate on a sports car.. Are they custom made for your car? Or are they just made in bulk and use spacers to fit your car? Custom made wheels will take at least 6 weeks.

They are custom made in the USA.
About 5-6 weeks.
I was looking at brushed aluminium center and chrome outer.
Isnt that what yours is?
Ill have to find out, Theyre are a 3 piece forged wheel, but im not sure if its a TRUE 3 piece.

Yeah, it's brushed alum with high polished lips, that's a very nice combo. Everybody claims to make TRUE 3 piece wheels but only the reputable ones actually is TRUE, Asanti is a reputable company so it's probably true. Go them. they look nice.

just ordered a set of Asanti AF112's today.
19x8 at front and 19x9 at the back.

which means my back tires would be a 30series tyre.
Just worrying about the ride.. would it be much rougher than my 17's i have now?

I guess in 5 weeks ill know.

Good taste, those are extremely nice looking wheels. I think you will like your setup as well. 235/35/19 on 8" fronts and 265/30/19 9" rears will give you plenty of rubber to protect your wheels and look aggressive at the same time. My ride is quite smooth but the Nitto's are a little louder than the stock Conti's, those who have PS2's 265/30's seems to report that they are both smooth and quiet, the only problem with them is the tire thread life isn't long.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for them? I've also been intrique by Asanti wheels, some of their style looks awesome. If you are not comfortable don't worry about it.

another update

will i EVER get some new wheels for my car?
In the past i have always bought wheels for my cars.. easy job.. right?

but with my SLK.. ive just had bad luck i guess.
on my 3rd try to get wheels.. I think I just found out that ASANTI, dont do brushed aluminium.
What what i have found out through the suppliers here in australia and the ASANTI web site,
all they do is some kind of silver, which then they add 2 coats of clear on top.

How does that work?
Anyone have any advice?

Anyway.. looks like i wont be going through with that order now
