RE: WTB: TOW PIN BUMPER

To the best of my knowledge, what you are looking for doesn't exist.  The vented bumper was originally built for the intercooler that showed up in 1996.  There is no room inside the bumper for a pin.

Re: WTB: TOW PIN BUMPER

Hi Jason
The tow pin bumper will be easiest if ordered through Mercedes dealership in China or Taiwan. As you know shipping this large item there is cost prohibitive. The part number for the tow pin bumper is A463 880 11 70. This is the one with the slots all along the front at the lower edge of the bumper. The oil cooler will also need to be moved from behind the bumper using an oil cooler relocation kit to the G55 position. The recess for the tow pin will not allow the cooler to remain in the stock location.

RE: WTB: TOW PIN BUMPER

Aha! I was under the impression that the OP wanted to get the cooler into the bumper, not behind it.

Re: WTB: TOW PIN BUMPER

The bumper that I gave the part number for has two threaded mounts in the front center for the license plate holder. The holder itself is flip up, plastic, and has the part number A463 885 00 43.
It clips into the lower edge of the towpin recess when down.

BigBlue provided the link for the TC cooler relocation above. That post has all the part number for the bracket setup.

This thread has pictures of my TC cooler relocation as well as pics of the license plate holder bits that come on the front bumper

Re: WTB: TOW PIN BUMPER

My tow pin has the part number A460 525 04 74

As for the bumper, you will need to shorten the left mounting tang, drill a new hole and add a captive nut. The bumper you are taking off will serve as your guide.
