Nice truck and great color.
Where are you located? Price and mileage would be helpful also.

I will accept the best offer, if it is reasonable, even if it is a little bit under market

That could be a reason for a lower price not for not buying

That is true Chris. And any buyer should know that. The rust takes the price down

RE: FS- 2002 Mercedes G500

To be fair to '2002 MercedesG500' he or she is showing (some) pictures of the rust so the rest is Caveat Emptor.

Although I am surprised that there is that much rust evident especially compared to my 1993 German import W463. German imports are not known for their immaculate rust free vehicles.

I have had several and the Germans certainly use salt on their roads.

Regards, Roman (my G is a German import and so am I)

I agree. I have a 2003 and have similar rust problems. More along the bottom of the doors, less elsewhere. But, still, not unlike your's. I will get around to fixing it when I can afford to.

I think what would make this discussion far more fruitful is if we had a better understanding of what (specifically) you are looking to get for it. That makese all the difference in the world. If you would prefer to not disclose an asking price, and simply let it go to the highest (reasonable) offer, may I suggest eBay?

Best of luck with the sale.

Re: FS- 2002 Mercedes G500

This truck has been posted for some time on kijiji. What kind of tom foolery is he playing at? A best offer with no time limit and every opportunity for the seller to fool some one into thinking that their price isn't high enough. No thanks. For me, even if the seller did post a great asking price, I wouldn't go for it - who knows what else he/she is hiding.

Re: FS- 2002 Mercedes G500

po-porsche, thanks for suggestion. I am already doing that.

knorrena, the truck is on kijiji and craiglist and on ebay. And autotrader. Just for a week. And I doubt there will be the need for more than two weeks. Do you want more sites. that's all! :-)
There is nothing too hide there. I am just very flexible with the price. I can afford to do that . At the end will be sold and somebody will be lucky.
By the way, welcome to this forum. It is great for G owners! I know because i have read it for years!

Re: FS- 2002 Mercedes G500

the ebay price is 15,000$. That's low for a MBUSA G500.
What i don't understand is why their is so much rust on this G. It has reasonable milage for a 11 year old car. Also they always said to me that cars on the west coast (canada) has less rust then on the east coast (canada).

But somebody looking for a G and don't care about the rust then he has a good deal here (i think)

Re: FS- 2002 Mercedes G500

Wow, that is low for a MBUSA G500. If I didn't already own one I'd have it looked at my a mechanic then (assuming no major surprises) buy it!
