Re: Tranny SWAP Begins...

How long did you leave it disconnected?
I would leave it disconnected overnight. Or > 15min..

But if that does not do it, it seems that every one of these Tranny control modules that rebuilt trannys come with are bizzark. I would contact the person you bought it from and notify that you are going to take it to the dealer to get it checked out, but it could be you need to swap it out.

Good luck Al.

oh,oh....the MB techs tell me that exchange units just get installed an they work ..... well almost always work .... like mine which had a faulty sensor .... hopefully that's not your case ..... which would mean you got sold a dud unit! .....

The only way to tell (no oil leaking from the electrical connector?) ... is to hook it up to the SDS! .... Did you remove the pan , and replace the filter?.....

sometimes a faulty gear selector ? .... remove the center console an check the electrical connectors .... The fast way is definately the SDS ..... reports exactly what is, and what is not working!!!.

Hey nice to see you back again .... I thought you were ->

Just out of curiousity what sensor was faulty on your tranny???

Re: Tranny SWAP Begins...

WOOO HOOOOOO!!!! I got my baby back and it's shifting as smooth as my dads S55. Man I've fallen in love with my truck all over again. I really missed driving her. Anyways I was told that they just had to clear the codes and do some re-programming. I was charges one hour of labour ($75) and had my truck back in a matter of hours. I LOVE MY ML!!! YAAAAAY. Thanks to all of you for your help and a special thanks to pluebner for his awesome DIY. Ill post my pics as soon as I find my camera. LOL.

Happy wheeling folks!!!
