Re: Diesel not for sure..?

Not talking with dealers..! My contact is at the factory level..! Your price points are very valid. However, the US requirements for diesel vehicles is very problematic, and has become much more regulated. Therefore with the new regs and costs of the new technology from MB, I don't believe they have made a business case for the release of the diesel G in the USA.

Sad b/c MBUSA should bring the G in diesel. Also the USA govt. should remove all taxes from diesel fuel pricing. This would help the economy, Truckers most and stimulate the diesel market. More importantly it would help the end user of all products shipped nationwide. Get rid of sour crude, bring sweet crude. In order to do so the refinieries would need to be updated. Unfortunately we are too late to the party. Anyway JMO.

Well we will just have to wait and see..

If there is not going to be an upcoming diesel G in the USA, I no longer have any interest in purchasing another G.

Maybe it's time to start a letter writing campaign to MBUSA - similar to the one to DCAG that saved the G from extinction.

Letter Writing

I don't think a group letter or "petition" would do as much good as individual letters sent by US Mail to the right person.

If you don't want to publish contact information on the forum, are you willing to provide it to those who mght ask by individual email or PM?
