For more details on his G wagon see http://www.4xforum.co.za/cgi-bin/farmshop.pl?TP=g_class.html&ID=657... The only issue with that vehicle is the fact that it is registered in Lesotho, and he ran into problems trying to legally import the vehicle into South Africa. I spoke to him about 3 weeks ago, and apparently the vehicle is in a very good condition. As far as I know, he only wants to sell because of the import issues. If you want to use the vehicle in SA, you will most probably also struggle to legally import the vehicle. A fair price for a late model W461 in South Africa is around US $50,000.00.

If it is I can just use it on the farm and it would not be on the road. Then again in the Zululand area where the farm is 90% of the cars up there are not regestered. I was driving down the N2 one night after dark and ran up on a PU Truck that had not one light working. Talk about a WOW WEE

You should be able to pick up that G at a good price as it has been for sale over a year now. If you NEVER officially go on to public roads it should be fine Not sure how you are going to bring the G into the country though. Maybe as a tourist and just never take it out again?

There is also a yahoo group ( 115 members ) for South AFrican G owners at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/SAGW/. PEter
