As MB was not sensitive when my torque conveter failed on my 2 yr old G 400, I decided it is no risk to lose anything and went for the upgrade of the software. The result is amazing! On paper is has now 310hp and a torque of 670Nm (I don't know how to translate this in lbfoot). When you drive it, it is much better and you will have a large smile on your face. At the first sight: - the turbos seem to engage at lower rpm - the gear changes are different - based on the rpm readings, it seems to me that the clutch in the torque converter acts differently and I begun to suspect that my problem with it was caused by the way the it is engaged by the original software - the consumption went down a little I will keep you informed with my experience. I don't know if I'll need to update the brakes, but I don't think so, as I don't intend to go faster. Christian | ||
