how much do these g's cost per unit?

it does look very smart for an armoured g, and looking in mort's gaurd pics i like the look of the double door for some reason.

very cool pics and i loved my g wagen
protected my ass as well
hope you have a safe tour.....

just where the hell are the cup holders.....ughhhhhhhh

the weight on mine was 6000 kgs
the fastest we got it up to was 140 on a great highway (number 1 on the road to kabul)
we had to get away fast and the little engine did very well

Canadian g wagens cost about 150000 unarmoured and 200000 armoured
thats the published figure but also in that figure is the cost of training the mechanics and all the specialized tools that they get from MB.

the picture is just me in victoria
this is what vader is doing since the end of the star wars movies...begging for change...so sad

I once saw one used B7 G500(it looked the same as cpt. Van Tachs) for sale in Russia with about 100k kms. The truck costed about 200k USD.

The only way that you can tell that it's an armored G is the additional protection on the gas tank.
I also noticed that it has a one piece door.

It has also that piece of armor around the doors, you can see that on the third picture. I have not noticed that the car is armored until i saw the doors open. The guy also owns also an armored G500 and it also looks like a normal truck, only visible thing is a more robust windshield.

Re: Our 2nd Armored Gwagen Level II in Baghdad, Iraq

Hey! Does anyone know the part number on those chrome hooks/loops/handles on the side of the G? Does it come in black? I have been looking for one for my right rear door. I have the double doors and cannot stand leaving fingerprints on the door. I am use to pushing rathar than using the lever on the inside to close that side.

I thought by having a hook/loop/handle would help solve the issue. The closest thing I could find was an H2 rear bumper tow loop.

ptepaul,

Thanks for the reply and it is good to hear that you
have returned to your beloved family and to your country
of Canada.

My team and I are very appreciative of our two civilian Armored Gwagen
here in Iraq.

I look forward to returning back to the United States to be with my family
and then riding in my Gwagens and especially I miss driving my Gwagen Cabrio.

Here are photos of my Mercedes Gwagen Cabrio with fellow soldier
Marco Benz the Great Great Grandson of Karl Benz.

Thank you for sharing your photo and take care.

Respectfully,

James Van Thach
