This laptop is faster than the older IBM T30 laptops in common usage for this software. The power brick and cables are included. The Workshop Information System (WIS) software is a stand alone product that does not require connecting to the vehicle; and is an extremely valuable tool. The DAS diagnostic software for older vehicles using the 38-pin round connector under the hood is inoperable. The STAR XENTRY diagnostic software for newer vehicles using the OBD2 plug under the dash works fine; but you will have to obtain a multiplexor and cables to be able to use it. Cheapest source for this hardware is probably one of the Chinese Ebay vendors. As said, the WIS works just fine without any extra hardware. The laptop has Bullzip PDF software to generate PDF files and has a working WiFi module for connection to your network. Asking US$300.00 obo, shipped within the CONUS.
