About that... As I was getting out of the truck in the second photo the door slipped out of my hand and CRACK there goes the unit which stops the door from going past 90degrees. From what I can see it is attached to the top hinge. probally adding 80USD to the part price...
I too broke that hinge strap part on my old Discovery, took it to a welder and he tacked it back for $20 Hard to tell from your pics if the break was the same as what I did but welding may be easier than replacing the strap?
