Glad your transmission is okay again, Al!

I've got a few invitations for Africa events this year. Should I receive another I can forward it to you if interested.

PS. Will be in Europe starting Friday for 2 weeks, on business.

News: Mercedes invites drivers for Paris-Beijing challenge

Paris-Beijing challenge: 8,450 miles in a new E-Class
Mercedes-Benz is organising a 33-car transcontinental publicity drive from Paris to Beijing, celebrating the start of E-Class production in China and commemorating the Beijing-Paris endurance runs from the early days of motoring.

Despite the first such 8,450-mile run, 99 years ago, taking drivers 62 days, this time around the journey is expected to take just 26 and the cars will be driven by people joining for specific stages.

The production-spec E-Classes - 30 E 320 CDIs and three new E 320 Bluetec models - will start from Paris on October 21 and will tackle the journey in five stages. The first takes in Paris, Stuttgart, Berlin, Warsaw, Vilnius, Riga, Tallin and St Petersburg - 2,100 miles - and the second stage heads east of Moscow for 1,680 miles through the Ural Mountains to Yekaterinburg (Perm). From there, the fleet will divert from the original 1907 route and head through Kazakhstan, rather than Siberia, via Qostanai to the old regional capital of Almaty in the Tian Shan mountains. The fourth stage crosses the border into China, going through some of the world's most remote regions, before hitting the ancient Silk Road to the Yellow River and Lanzhou. The final stage follows the river to the edge of the Gobi desert and the grasslands of Inner Mongolia to arrive at the walled Forbidden City in central Beijing, the day before the AutoChina 2006 exhibition opens.

Drivers taking part will include Mercedes owners from different countries, journalists and celebrities; to make up the 330-strong team, Mercedes is inviting people to register to take the wheel for a stage at www.e-class-experience.com article continues below

Thank you kind sir... I wish I had the time to go to Europe. Looks like I wont be doing to much traveling till Aug though and that will most likely be back home to the Philippines. I was in Europe in September though, one of my stops was Nuerburgring in Germany (Spelling might be a bit off. LOL) I was planning on running it but I completely overlooked the fact that the weather is not always nice and sunny like Florida. Suffice it to say it was snowing and all I got to do is take pics of the track. It was still a great experience.
