RE: pleubner - mityvac

200'000KM ......

Found out a lot about transmissions since..... all the original transmissions (except for ML55) had a far too week design! The torque developed by the engine tended to stess the tansmission far too much ..... originally many shops only switched the transmission only to find that the converter caused the new one to blow.... now most shops will only do a new trans with a new converter.

The "filled for life" didn't really help things either.

As soon as the pic limit size gets fixed I'll post the fulll story ..... in 2 weeks I'll hopefully have pics of the removal/install ..... stay tuned.

PS:

The current resting place for my ML.

Have you seen the Sealey TP69?
I have one, it does the job well and it sells for about 110Euros in the UK, if you search with Google I bet you will find several suppliers who will ship to Germany.
It only holds 6.5 litres, but that is enough if you let the oil get down to the half way mark on the dipstick, otherwise it needs to be emptied part way.
