| 2000 G500 For Sale
It is with a heavy heart that I am offering my 2000 G500 for sale. It has been relegated to being an airport car (for when I fly in and need a car). I hate to see it sitting outside all the time. it needs a new owner. It is located in Texas right now and I am in Kansas. I don't have any pictures but am driving down next week to trade it out for a more appropriate truck (Ford 150). Once I get it back I will post pictures.
The car will be just outside of Austin until I drive it back on the 15th of August. After that it will be in Wichita, KS.
Details
Europa 2000 G500
about 95000 miles
I am second owner, I bought it in 2004 I think
Europa winch bumper with Warn 9000 winch
Brush guard
Aux driving lights (turn on by pulling headlight switch)
Europa side steps/rails
Aux gasoline heater (works but power unplugged so it doesn't drain battery while it sits)
Rear fold up seats
Sunroof
Heated front/rear seats
CD Changer under drivers seat
Stock Radio
Good tires
No leaks
No perceptible oil burn
AC blows cold
Extra Winch Bumper and Brush Guard Loop
Correct rubber mats throughout. I assume carpet is mint because it has never seen the light of day.
Brand new Key with remote
Also have original credit card key
The BAD
Positions 1 & 2 on AC fan blower are intermittent
Water Stains on Headliner around sunroof
Minor wreck that took out winch bumper and grill. No damage to fenders or hood. All repaired
Drivers seat arm rest shows cracking
Windshield cracked (will investigate getting it replaced)
Hard to find comparables on value so....

I knew I forgot a few things
Paint -Black still in really good shape. No scratches or door dings that I know of. I think with a good detailing it will show very nicely
Interior -Black leather - Drivers seat shows wear but no cracks. Rest are very nice
No Rust that I am aware of.
No road rash on wheels that I am aware of
As I mentioned I don't have the car here while I write, so above comments subject to change.

Specific questions
1. Is if California qualified. Not sure I have included a picture of the door sticker
2. I can find no rust on the car
3. There is a small dent in the rear under the rain gutter where my garage door got me
4. The are does not leak fluid onto the floor
5. A/C condenser etc. has been recently replaced
6. In taking pictures of the underside it appears that the steering damper is leaking. |

A couple of typos in the previous post.
There are no door dings, the marks you see in the door are dirt.
The powder coating on the brush guard and running boards is chalky from being out in the sun
The winch in a 9000# Warn the cable is used but in good shape. |

Well Bill, I have to say that that is one fine truck. The color is actually Tectite Grey, not black, though. A much nicer color IMO, my old 2002 was Tectite Grey.
With jump seats, a Europa winch bumper and a Webasto stationary heater, what is not to like.
I am surprised it has not sold already. |

Thanks for the interest. Drove it back from Austin to Wichita and remember now why I like it so much. If there were anyone within 100 miles to work on it, the car would not be for sale. |

Awesome, I have been holding onto my Syncro. But the power of the G for easy driving in soft sand has left me wondering why I keep it. Pulling into a camping spot and just popping the top is a pretty easy way to set up camp though.

I loved mine. I added the hardware to rotate the front seat around to allow it to face backwards. I bet yours does that. Not much power but with the locking diffs it could go almost anywhere. I was field trialing labradors and it was the only vehicle besides a suburban that could hold multiple dog crates and decoys etc.
sold it when I started having CV joint problems. Went through something like 16 CV joints in a couple of thousand miles. We suspect a bad heat treat batch.
Not having a good G mechanic around I have retreated to something a little easier to get worked on a Ford Raptor. This is actually a pretty serious piece of gear. Locking diffs etc. |
