Overland Expo

Anybody of my hard core friends, trying to make it to the 2018 Overland Expo in Flagstaff, AZ?

I have been cleaning up my Adventurewagen for it, and hope I will be there in time.

Interesting to see, what is all hiding under the front fenders......

RE: Overland Expo

Hey Karl -

I might be there on Saturday - still working on my plans - if I make it I'll be sure to look for you.

Re: Overland Expo

Not you...your truck is in an unrecognizable state of repair. Looks like something from Mad Max!
Cheers!

RE: Overland Expo

I finally completed my first day of driving,

13 hrs and only 713 Miles.......I am not a Kansas anymore.....

The Mad Max truck has gained some parts again, and cleaned up rather well.

Sometimes you never know what’s under all that dust and dirt.....

See you guys at the Expo campground, or the beer tent

Re: Overland Expo

Wow! Didn't see that color change coming! Looks great Karl. Does the interior stay cooler? How about some more photos?

Re: Overland Expo

Thought about going... but to be honest just found out about it and would have to fly in. So no car, no camping, and no G. Not sure what all goes on and epic new to the G and overlanding.

So what are your thoughts? Worth going even being solo?

IMHO not really fun, driving up with a rental Prius and staying in a far away motel.

I am looking forward, to see old friends again, meeting some new ones and talk stories......

RE: Overland Expo

Ok, here some of the latest photos from the white one.

I did install some new fancy AMG Center Caps, easy to do with our adapter rings
for the Hutchinson bead lock wheels.

Re: Overland Expo

The AMG center caps look good in the recessed face of the Hutchy wheel, nice touch.

I also like the diamond plate fender top covers , is this a new product for OEX that will be showing up on the GWA website soon?

Thanks Eric for your kind words, and the check is in the mail.....

Yes, the fender covers are a new addition to our line-up of interesting G-wagen accessories.

We had such a great time at the Expo, meeting all kinds of friends, new, old and the really special ones

Cool G-wagen here and there, my friend Bill Rader had a real beast parked close by. I wished Dutch would fix the overheating problems soon,

and Harald gets his bones back together, so we all can meet up again, at the next G-wagen somewhere Treffen.

DUTCH would like to get that fixed, too. Just not sure what is the problem and what needs to be fixed.
