| Happy Birthday to my good friend Harald
I first met Harald in 2008, rolling into the Saline Valley Hot Springs at 11PM looking for a group of Gwagens, but in my VW Syncro with my 10 year old son Alex. I had already known him on the Benzworld forums for at least 6 years, and he was immensely helpful to many members with his deep knowledge of the Mercedes Gelandewagen. This has earned him the moniker of "The Professor."
Harald has been located in Baja for over 12 years now and is a great stopping point for any Gwagen owner or adventurous overlander. He is well known to Gwagen owners here, in Europe, and around the world for his adventure guiding and his 4wd advice.
Cheers to the Professor as he turns the sharp corner of 70! May your beer remain cold, your cigars fresh and your tire sidewalls unmolested.
