Re: EPC-NET expires in Europe and Africa 14/12/2018

I recently renewed my epc subscription and have been told the new system does cover the European vin numbers. I logged in the epc yesterday and while it shows large red stop sign, it allowed me to look up all parts still. I hope the new system works well. I have a independent subscription which I hope is still honored.

Last night I was able to see the new system that the MB mechanics use, it is very nice. However I am not sure that it has all of the bugs worked out. When I put in the VIN on one of my 500GE's, it came up as a 300GE. It has the correct engine, tranny, etc., but I can not identify it as a 500GE in the new system.

So, those of us with pre MBUSA vehicles might have some problems with it. I guess we will know after Dec 14th.

New ISPPI System Effective Today, 14 Dec 2018

Just received the new log-in information for the ISPPI System that replaces the EPCnet along with a 64 page instruction book on how to use it. Looks like there's going to be a learning curve on this one.

No. I just tried. After going through a long and convoluted process to change the password, I was finally able to log on, only to receive the following error message:

Your user does not have a valid dealer number. No ticket can be created without this. Please contact your administrator. (ARWARN 805500017)

I'm not a dealer, and have no idea what to do about that. My old EPCnet subscription was supposed to be good until Sept 2019.

I sent an email to the ISPPI help desk. I'll post their response when I receive it.

You need to click on "Parts Information" not "XSF"

That did it. Not very obvious. Thank you!

The support desk for those of us in the US is mbusa.com. I'm guessing your local MB office can help.

My instructions said that accessing the new parts website is one address, but any renewals must still go through the old EPCnet website. Maybe, if you contacted them, they could help.

Fwiw, there's no longer any choice; but the old EPCnet was a whole lot easier to navigate and use than this new ISPPI System.

RE: EPC-NET expires in Europe and Africa 14/12/2018

I received my new log in info.

However, when I logged in, it prompted me to change my password and would never accept a new password or work with the temp password. So, now I am waiting for their customer support team to reply to my email, which they indicate could take 5 days.

If anyone has changed their password in the new system, let me know if there is any trick.

Re: EPC-NET expires in Europe and Africa 14/12/2018

My dealer can no longer see most of the modules for parts for the 500GE on the new EPC!!!!! They report major problems not only with this vehicle but with other models, too.

I think the dealer system and the new ISPPI that I have are different. Tracy at my parts dealer says that she can't look up a lot of non-MBUSA parts, but she can still order them. I have no problems accessing parts for my 2000 G500.

PM your 500GE VIN to me, and I'll see what I can see.

I can see parts and an expanded Vehicle Data Card for my pre-MBUSA Euro G500 in the new ISPPI System. Can you see parts in it for your 500GE's?
