Discount MB Parts Changes

As many of you know, I've used Skyland Automotive, the Asheville, NC deale,r for discounted MB parts for several years with excellent service and pricing from them. They have recently been bought out, and the old website link to order parts is no longer working.

After a bunch of attempts, I was able to contact Tracy, who ran and still does run the MB parts department. She plans to continue the discounted MB parts sales, but ordering will have to be done by email instead of the more convenient website order page. Contact her at the following new email address:

tracy.lehrke@fieldsauto.com

She indicated that, due to changes to the parts catalog by MB corporate, she no longer has good access to look up non-US part numbers; but can supply the parts, if you can provide a part number.

Thanks for passing this along. I noticed their site was down but assumed it was maintenance.

Re: Discount MB Parts Changes

I know I have been quiet for a very long time but seeing this thread I have to speak up for these guys as well.

Their team is nothing short of bloody brilliant and their customer service is top notch, they have been sending me parts at damn competitive prices for the last two years (even after I have had to add the cost of shipping them over to the Middle East).

+1 for Tracey and her team.

Another Change

Sadly, Tracy Lehrke is leaving MB of Asheville (formerly Skyland Automotive). This is a shame because she has provided excellent parts support and service.

She is being replaced by Gregg Scherb, and I have not had good experience with him in the past. His contact telephone is: 1-828-667-5213. His email is: Gregg.scherb@fieldsauto.com

Re: Discount MB Parts Changes

Shame, she was great to work with for me as well. Guess I'll move over to mboemparts.com

The free shipping is the big saver, really adds up.

@gerryvz - is the 500E Board free shipping a permanent perk with them?

RE: Discount MB Parts Changes

Tracy was readily available and always can count on with prompt response.
I may consider going with either mboemparts.com or mymbgenuineparts.com

Yes, it is a perk that they provide for us and renew every year.  They've done this for the past several years.

Having no sales tax is also a benefit (a lot of other online vendors charge sales tax, which can add anywhere from 5-10% to the cost).

That is only the case until the Washington Swamp enacts legislation to allow sales tax across the board nationwide.

Only 50% off shipping with that promo code now, but still a decent deal

Re: Discount MB Parts Changes

I have been ordering parts from "mbparts.mbusa.com" for a couple of months because they are now listing parts at 21% to 26% discount.
No shipping charges when you pick them up at your MB dealer.

Re: Discount MB Parts Changes

Dutch- it looks like this is a new MBUSA parts program, uses your location to list the closest dealer.

I've been using Mercedes Classic Center in Irvine for parts recently. When MBOEMPARTS tells you a part isn't available, that usually means it isn't in stock in the US and has to be ordered from Germany.

MB Classic Center takes the time to tell you if the part is available in Germany, or if it's actually NLA. Jon there has been extremely helpful- and they give a standard 20% off- with very reasonable shipping via FedEx. Highly recommended.

I just dug a little deeper on this. Apparently NOT all MB dealers participate in this program.

There are 5 MB dealers in the Atlanta area, and only one participates. The next closest participating dealers are in Birmingham, AL and Kingsport, TN.

RE: Discount MB Parts Changes

Hi,

I’ve been using Mercedes Benz Of Covington for a couple of years.

Their online pricing is usually the cheapest and their shipping is also less than the other online dealers.

Their shipping takes 4-5 days, so you need to be able to wait.

Thanks.

RE: Discount MB Parts Changes

The discount MB parts program is actually run by a third party, Revolution Parts out of Phoenix, AZ. I think it's a fantastic move on the part of MB since so many dealers are rolling their own discount sites. Participation is optional so there is only one dealer in the Boston area, MB of Burlington, MA (MBOB), that participates (most of the other MB franchises are owned by Herb Chambers who is quite the money grubber). Ordering parts through this route and picking them up at the dealership gives you access to MBs utra-fast parts distribution system, so you have your parts in a day or two, or even the same day if they are in stock. And is my case, MBOB is wicked close to where I work so I can just dash over at lunch.

Here you go Alan. You can either have them ship or select to pick up when placing your order. Some nice discounts.
