Looking for any advise from members who have replaced motor mounts on W463 from underside. I have done it previously following the WIS but struggled with the exhaust manifold due to size of hand and length of arm. For those that have done it accessing from below, does removing fender liner help with access? Any best practices? Looks like remove fan and shroud, support motor, remove mount bolts and then mount from engine block, R&R mount on bench and then reassemble in reverse. I understand that there is not a lot of room between frame and engine. Does it help to push motor to either side to facilitate removal? Thanks G4me | ||

My motor mounts were replaced from the bottom with the G on a lift. Motor was raised in the front to get the clearance. They did remove the fender liners. Not an easy job. Make sure that nothing is stretched (cables, ground wires, etc) while doing this. I have had a strange, long time frame between each event, intermittent, engine dying problem since having this along with other work done.
