| Headlight flickering???
I brought my 2002 Ml55 to dealer for this problem and they told me I needed a new headlight activity module. Anyone have any info on this??? Part no.? Location in the car? They wanted close to $500. I said no way, I'll do it my self. |

You got XENON Lights?..... What is the real name of the unit? "Headlight Control Unit" ? , "AAM2" ? , "EAM" ?. |

I have XENON lights. They said the EAM Module was OK. The invoice says "in need of ALL ACTIVITY MODULE". Thanks Peter. By the way, the door handles you sold me got painted and put on the car. Look Great!

AHHH , so it's the AAM2!... I Doubled checked the partno!. That ML does look smart DAN!. You put the handles in yourself?.... Lining up the hex tool to loosen those screws holding the handles on is tough! ... takes quite a bit of practice to find the screw through the hole!. |

Yea it the AAM2. But reading the instructions on how to replace it, it looks like I can't do it myself. I'm going to have to bring it to the dealer. If this isn't true please let me know.

The handles were easy to change. It took me about 15 minutes to do all of them. I was surprised it was so easy. I'll take some new pics and post them. |

If your AAM2 is the subject of a recall will the repair not be free at the dealer? |

It's going to be expensive unless you get some goodwill on it and the Startek info does start with:
"This campaign has been initiated because it has been determined that the All-Activity Module (N10) (AAM2) (N10, Figure 1) may have been improperly manufactured."
It would be worth seeing if Mercedes is willing at least to contribute.
