Most the "big" guys have their email accts filtered - you need to find his secretary's email address and start the letter:
Dear Mrs. XXXX,
would you please be so nice and forward the note to Mr. Dieter Zetsche.....
Hallo Dieter,
it was a real pleasure.....................
It worked for me once (not Daimler Chrysler) but the "big" guy remembered me also....
