I am most interested reliability and ease of maintenance. I would probably lean towards a diesel, and the more manual the better. Excluding a G55k  , What would your dream G be and why. But I'm biased. The US Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance use the 290 GDT for their operations. What more do you need to know?  I have also heard legendary things about the OM 606 D 30LA G300DT. | |

| Re: What was the best engine ever put in a G Luky - 6/26/2006 3:48 PM i dont think, that there was a cabrio with the old 500 or 290 turbo diesel engine. When Mopagi wants a cabrio, which is reliable and easy to maintain, what abou the military 250GD Wolf? Yes, right. In a cabrio the engines are very limited. I would avoid a Diesel when possible. None  of them is really good. The very best cabrio is the one with the current 5.0L engine. When you can get one from  1998-2000, that's it. | ||
