Hub caps 460

Some people asked me for the part number of the wheelcaps on my 280 GE. As far as I know there are no such ready to fit wheelcaps for the MB rims on the older models.
As I liked the new ones I solved this (minor) problem by taking the original wheelcaps and with a Dremel mototool I removed the inner Mercedes logo. In that way you have a kind of adapter in which the new hubcap will fit perfectly. The new hubcaps are available in blue and in black.
Strange enough they have the same part number.

RE: Hub caps 460

I am pretty sure that there are caps out there that fit the 15" rims but not the 16" rims.

Anybody on here who knows a little bit more about this?

Wout, I think you have found the perfect solution for people with the 16" rims

RE: Hub caps 460

I have 15 inch rims on my truck and have tried some wheel centers from a Puch. Guess what? Without Wout's solution, they don't fit.
