Dos same one knows if a 711.117 Gear box from an OM603 fits in a W460 equipped whit a OM617.952?

1st gear 4,695
2nd gear 2,401
3rd gear 1,436
4th gear 1
5th gear 0,806

I don't think so. If I remember well that gear is a one piece housing.

Quite a few people have converted their trucks to the MB 5-speed gearbox.


If your current gearbox is an MB 4-speed, remove the bell housing from it, like Frank mentioned, and install it on the 5-speed box. Then it should bolt right up to your current engine.

Since the 711.117 is also longer, you'll have to shorten the intermediate shaft between the gearbox and the transfer case. I recall that a few changes must be made to the shift linkage as well, but I don't remember the specifics.
