lubing throttle valve ball socket

WIS says that you pry off the plastic ball socket and fill with grease.

What does pry off mean? Take a screwdriver twist and lever the socket off?

Is there a risk of breaking the plastic?

Can I just squirt a little trans fluid into the socket without removing it or spray some wurth lubricant into it?

They pop right off. Do not worry, you will not break anything. It's like the snap button on your jeans.
