PUCH Emblem Needed before I have to pay a lot

I have a PUCH badged 230G Everything from the vin plate to the center caps and the center of the stearing wheel. One thing missing is the Grill Badge. Now I have located one but at over $100 for a piece of plastic I figured I would ask here one more time before I have to go that route.
Thanks for taking a look all

Re: PUCH Emblem Needed before I have to pay a lot

Have you checked ebay.de:
http://cgi.ebay.de/MERCEDES-G-PUCH-G-GRILLEMBLEM_W0QQitemZ280011149...

If you cannot see the above link, go to ebay.de and type in Puch Grillemblem in the search box. There might be more examples.

You might want to talk to Karl or another German G member from this forum about payment because a lot of German eBayers like to do wire transfer rather than PayPal. Wire tramsfer from the US to Germany is expensive.

Re: PUCH Emblem Needed before I have to pay a lot

Oh. Sorry about that. The only other thing I could suggest is contacting a MB place in Austria. Or look at mobile.de for any Puchs and ask those dealers/private owners.

Check with Sean at Eurotruck. He can get you one if he doesn't have one in stock. I know he had a least one. www.eurotruck-importers.com

Here is a article about the "Puch" that may interest you, a friend of mine got a badge from Hungary at

Email: 9kissf@elender.hu

maybe you should drop him a mail?

Here the article: In 1975, construction of a new plant in Graz, Austria, was begun and production of the Geländewagen, or G-Wagen, was given the go-ahead. By agreement, the “Puch” badge would be sold in Eastern bloc countries, neutral Yugoslavia and Switzerland, Cuba, Mongolia, and Vietnam. All other sales around the world were left to Daimler-Benz and those G-Wagens would have the Mercedes three-pointed star on their grilles.

Re: PUCH Emblem Needed before I have to pay a lot

The emblem we have is for a 463 and will fit a 460, this costs $105.00 It is a chromed plastic and it is larger than a 460 emblem. I can get the Puch badge for the 460 and this costs $37.00. The 463 is NLA from Mercedes.

Can't wait to see a pic of your front (grill) with the new emblem. That will be very nice.

Well once it is on there the only thing on my car that will have the star is the valve cover
There is nothing else really that can be seen with MB on it. My vin plate and everything all says PUCH so now with that grille emblem on the front people will REALLY look ands say what the hell is that. (Funny old skit from SNL)

RE: PUCH Emblem Needed before I have to pay a lot

Don't despair... it wasn't the correct Puch badge for a G-Wagen of the vintage of yours.

This is the one:
