This available from MB in case you want to plumb in your own system.
It looks like its single-din to me!

the part number is A171 680 01 78
If you want the blanking plate (not sure why!) that comes separate. A140 683 01 10

That looks most unattractive ! I guess they sell the blanking plate to allow the removal of your radio without leaving an unsightly hole.

I agree it does look unattractive, but if it means I can finally get a radio put in which can take my Ipod, I will be over the moon.

Only bummer is, is that I'll lose the steering controls

yuk, its not even the same texture as the origonal panneling
