| Duval parts experience (and new to me oil filter procedure) So I ordered from Duval motors some miscellaneous parts - and I have to say - incredibly impressed... Much cheaper than the dealer, and even maintenance parts are OEM factory genuine parts...See attached photos. For marginally more money than the stuff from aftermarket websites, there are some pics of what I got.. Also I noticed that the oil filter came with an instruction sheet and two markers to indicate proper insertion of the oil filter into the filter holder...see attached pics.... i guess it's prescribing that we don't shove the filter all the way into the filter housing... | RE: Duval parts experience (and new to me oil filter procedure) roadsession - 2/28/2007 6:50 AM carlos, i looked at it again this morning. it appears that we have to insert the filter into the housing so that the first black line must disappear in the housing. if you can see BOTH black lines it means that it's not in far enough. Also the lines helped me realize the filter is unidirectional - doesn't matter which end goes in....I used to think the numbered end was different... oops i mean it's bi-directional - doesn't matter which end goes in...  | ||
