Driving on the Autobahn

Took this picture a few days ago on the Autobahn. Lots of trucks these days, and top speed of 250 kmh often not possible...

RE: Driving on the Autobahn

What were you driving? A car from the European delivery program?

Glad you had a good trip!!

cmitch, it's a W221.

And here one can see real time traffic routing in action. The NAV shows a traffic jam in the oncoming direction on the screen and rerouted us around it, automatically...

This is one of the few of the newer Mercedes nav systems which I like to use. My current rating for it is: "tolerable".

Nice pictures Wolfgang!! How do you like the new S-Class? I only got to sit in one not drive it and I found it lovely. Very nice feel to everything and I found the Comand to be VERY easy to use.

It's a good car. Good suspension. Never had to look at the manual. Just driving and using the clickwheel works fine.

And great phone audio quality. Folks at the other end usually dont know you are on the road when calling..

Ask a dealer for a test drive. It's worth it.

A couple photos of my project this evening, installing a new seat belt into a '73 450SE. At first the seat belt indicator light wouldn;t illuminate and required some contact cleaning.
