Sunroof wind deflector arm

Does anyone know where I can find the wind deflector assembly? I bought an 03 ML500 and did not notice the deflector was not working. It is missing 1 arm and I guess there were two spring mechanisms that elevated it up. Any help on the key parts that make this work and where to find them would be appreciated. I can always call Brumos but fear that would lead to big$$.

Also an easy one for long time owners... I cannot get the keys sync'd for remote entry, followed the instructions in the book, no luck. This has to be straight forward and I am just not getting it, any things I should keep in mind while following the manual? Or is there another approach entirely...
Thanks,
W

RE: Sunroof wind deflector arm

If I remember correctly, most remove them altogether, since they are an issue with breakage and repairing them is usually expensive.

Both arms eventually broken on mine. Is there a way to remove the flap all together?

The flap on mine came right out, did not seem to be lcoked into place, pushed forward 2cm then lifted up. Now it is in the back of the truck along with some rattle...

If it's like the 2000 ML, the deflector is only sold as an assembly for about $60. The weak point is two plastic clips that break. If you catch it early, you can replace the clip. If you don't notice it, the arm will catch, fold and break the arm when you close the sunroof. All I needed was a clip but I had to buy the whole assembly ($30 per clip I guess).
