I used EBC rotors and pads (the green ones). My question is that since installing them when driving with the window open I can hear a rythmic noise as if one or more pads are being contacted while the wheel(s) are turning. I had read that the EBC stuff is a little noisy but they sure stop an ML better than stock. I just didn't expect noise when driving without any braking?? I'd like to know if the noise I described above is normal or is there something I can check? Also, does anyone else have EBC rotors/pads??? I read on Wolfgangs site that the calipers on the 99 ML430 are 'floating'. Is there somewhere I should have lubricated to ensure they 'float' freely??? Thanks, Jim

When you are driving, your pads will slightly contact your rotors. You can try what I did. Get a can of SYNTHETIC grease, remove your pads and place a light film of this on the backs and put them back on. Now, if you have some brake paste, use it, instead, but the grease works as a good substitute. This worked on my ML320. The brakes were new and making a horrible noise. This fixed it.
