Are these blades a one time use or can you get refills for them?

Unfortunately, they are one-time use – no refills!

Wowm they sound awesome. I remember redeye changed the wiper arms as well. He said the standard wiper arms looked too "agricultural." I'd give you a link and all, but the other place is running a little slow for me.

bigcatny - 5/6/2006 10:59 AM The wipers for the front are definitely model # 422A. I got this from the reference chart next to the wipers so that's what I installed. I also remember that the chart didn't list anything for the rears. Perhaps since there's no real air pressure on the back wiper, the wing is kind of useless. In any case I couldn't figure out which direction the wing would have to face in order for it to work theoretically.

Can you post a pic of the front wipers?  I would like to see how they look on the ML.  Thanks.

On the subject of wipers, sort of, has anyone painted their wiper arms? If so, what paint was used, and did it stay on well?

I'm thinking of ordering from the "amazon" link above .... Bosch Icon ....

Yes they use the standard arm! Although the picture shows a different arm for the Aero Twin! .... I asked the local Bosch Service around the corner and he said "Standard Arm".

Quick click.... Just got to find the right size 19,20,21,22,24,26 ??????

680mm = 26 inches .... so what does the ML take?....

I remember "redeye" mounted the "Aero Twin" some time ago ... must ask him if he changed the arms also!...

Resurrecting an "old" post (only 7 pages - well, 6 and 1 post - makes reading everything real quick ) the Ebay "before and after" photos are different arms and blades. Here's a pic of mine with the new arms as well: dirty but still going strong with no streaks or shudder after 2 summers and 1 Canadian winter. Based on the current, still perfect state of the wiper blades I guess my 1 spare set of blades (front and rear) will probably last until end 2007 or 2008.

I did find that the aero-twin blades fitted to the standard ML arms looked, well, stupid. A long curved and bare piece of skinny metal with a long, low profile and unobtrusive wiper blade akwardly stuck to the end of it.

It is possible to disassemble the wiper and replace the blade. The problem is finding a suitable refill. Once I locate some refills I will post a "how to" on changing the blade. I think you will only get one or two extra uses before the end cap breaks.
