Coolant mixture...

I'm planning to do my first coolant flush. I have the MB coolant from the dealer...can someone tell me what the dilution ratio should be and what should I use for dilution.

The manual says 50/50. People say dilute it with distilled water.

While the general rule of 50/50 is correct, you must adjust the concentration depending on your cold weather climate. Unless you see temperatures dip into the -60º range, I don't think it would be necessary to mix it stronger. Here in the south, we can mix 40% antifreeze to 60% water and have boil over protection and winter protection. The back of the jug will have a chart for you to refer to.
