I had those tyres before and I would never have them again, they suffered from inability to clear water, the sidewalls gave way when cornering hard and they gave no steering in mud, although traction in mud was OK. I would suggest getting Continental CrossContactLX tyres next time, much better all round, particularly in the wet, handling in curves is much better and they are also much quieter (just my opinion). I have the same wheels as you (8.5J) and I intend to fit 275/55R17 next time to see what the difference is.
Let us know what you think about the new fitment and the tires when you get them!
