Re: My new ride and my first ML

bill i pm'd you cheers.

have to admit it though, spent the day driving the Range Rover S'Charged yesterday and it is one hell of a beast power wise and so comfy to drive in. i wasnt paying the fuel tho, so i suppose that took the pain out of the pleasure pain balance!

Re: My new ride and my first ML

18.9 mpg, not that bad i thought over the good 3/400 miles. cruised at 80 on the m'way, with the odd boot up to 100 to get past lorries and then some usual town and heavy traffic on the m25 (army truck blew a tyre and managed to bring us to a stand still!)

wasnt faultless though, while going through the average speed check on the m1 it flashed that the transmission oil was getting too hot and that we should slow. maybe thats why we've always stuck to mercs?!

RE: My new ride and my first ML

I have found a dislike, the radio, I like one that you just push a button to change station, seems I have to retune every time with this one. or do I need to read the book.

You can preset 10 stations of your own (the number keypad). I forget how to reset it though.

Re: My new ride and my first ML

I just spent 10 minutes in the ML trying my hardest to remember how to set the stations.

I can't believe I forgot it's as easy as holding one of the softkeys!

After agonising for a long time I decided to keep the 460 for flogging around the local land and got a comfortable ride for the long drives across EU.

What year and model?

May 2005. thats the 54 on the plate, and its the 270 CDI

I'll be curious as to what you think of it as you have it for a while. I have to admit that my ML320CDI is sure spoiling me, and the G doesn't get out as much as it used to.

Well Dutch, had it a while now and still loving it, havent driven anything else in my fleet since the day I got it.
