My new ride and my first ML

After agonising for a long time I decided to keep the 460 for flogging around the local land and got a comfortable ride for the long drives across EU.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but are his headlights not the same as mine?? What are you referring to?

RE: My new ride and my first ML

BTW, roughneck. Great ride! I don't know if you can compare but the 2002 and up are much improved over the previous ones.

Does it always rain where you live or does it just seem that way?

For just about every single new car in Europe, their headlights don't have the ugly amber reflectors/side markers.

At the moment I can't get out of it, its what we call a silly grin vehicle, you drive it with a silly grin across your face.
My daghter was staggered today when she enquired if I could drop her and her pal of at the rail statation and my response was "I can take you to town no problem you don't need the train, when shall I pick you up

Uhm it doesnt rain all the time, but it does rain a lot, we are a small island between the Atlantic and the North sea just below Icland.

I'll be curious as to what you think of it as you have it for a while. I have to admit that my ML320CDI is sure spoiling me, and the G doesn't get out as much as it used to.

RE: My new ride and my first ML

I fear the result will be much the same as you, I have for some time been looking longinly at what we call gentlemans chariots, Jaguars Rovers etc, I thiink this is a step in the right direction , but I will allways have a G in the backyard.

Took a closer look at that point, ours just have an amber bulb in there, I would have thought easy to modify, oops sorry I don't knoww much about MLs ....yet..

This is what we get in the US. Such a little thing takes away so much from the car. Same for sedans/saloons.

Notice no reflectors.

Notice reflectors.

I'm being weird again.

The lights look even nicer with Silver Vision bulbs.

However, what you do get in the US is cars which are several thousand dollars cheaper!

2nd hand varies, might be $30K or $40K, I really meant new, I paid $80K (£40K) new for mine with standard tyres, no rear spare on the back door, but HID lights, all air bags, 3rd row seats, Command GPS, parking sensors, luxury pack, etc.

Almost a week now since I got the ML, Ive only been out in the G once in that time and that was only because the ML has no tow hitch yet.

Do I like the ML, well lets say instead of flying to Magney Cours for the GP I am driving down in the ML

RE: My new ride and my first ML

Popped into town (London) last night, I am really impressed now, the ML has the turning circle and maneuverability of a black cab and a peach to park
