does this include parts?

anyway if it's only labor it's still a pretty good deal because i know dealer charges $500 for rear labor alone.

RE: change front and back shocks and springs

IMO $500 is high for just labor.

I took my SACHS with springs (OEM) for the rear and Bilstein for the front to this specialized rim and suspension shop, where they charged me actual work time.  His tech never installed shocks for an ML before and it took him 2.5 hours to do it.  My cost was $200 plus tax.

I checked AAA best of the best repair shops (aaa.com, under Automotive), the one in my area wanted book rate and that was 5.3 hours (1.7 front & 3.6 rear)  or $430 plus tax.

I brought my parts in (MB OE parts - shock w/springs $200 shipped) and the rears cost me $70 for labor at my independent.

Indy mechanic at posted $50/hour labor charge as opposed to the dealer at $95. Plus, we've known the owner for a long time and he's pretty loose with the actual time calculations. It took just about 2 hours or enough time for a leisurely lunch and coffee.
