Last weak the 430 started to get ill. No check engine light. Hmmm.
Scanned for codes, misfires in cyl 1-5 were logged, bad cats both sides and O2 sensors.
The left side cat was under warranty from last year so the dealer did that one. I got
great deal on an OEM right side and did it myself. At the same time did plugs and wires
through the wheel wells. Also replaced the front shocks with OEM MB shocks.
The O2 sensors were fine.
New air cleaner and fresh oil.
At 150k miles I am amazed at how much things were improved. The handling and
ride like new. I did rear shocks last year. The engine has so much more response
it actually surprised me and my wife. Fuel mileage is improved to almost 1.8 mpg
on the highway and 1.5 round town. It has not felt this good since it was new.
