AsianML Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | OEM wiper spoilers Or whatever they're called, can be only installed on Bosch wipers? I've looked at only a couple of other wipers and they don't have the two metal pieces sticking out to screw the thing in. Is Bosch the only manufacturer that allows these things to be put on?

Marcelc Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: OEM wiper spoilers I switched over to Bosch Icon wipers, which do not have spoilers, and these are as near perfect as it gets, they never judder at any speed and wipe better than any other wipers. Furthermore, they have a much smaller profile so you see more of the road just in front of the ML than with standard wipers. The only annoying thing about them from my point of view is that they are only for sale in America! I bought a pair via Amazon and paid carriage from the US, they arrived with the words "Made in Belgium" on the packaging

silverarrow89 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: OEM wiper spoilers I had a set of PIAA silicone wipers on my 'always parked outside F150, since it was too long for my garage' and they did not wear, streak, chatter or crack in over 2 years..amazing. As soon as I get a chance to visit my pal, the PIAA distributor, I'm getting a set for the ML. The PIAAs I had previous had a built in spoiler, very close to the factory MB wipers. Expensive wipers, but well worth it SA89

Marcelc Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: OEM wiper spoilers I would not go back to the OEM wipers as they are inferior to the Icons in every way, MB don't sell inserts for the ML but they do, I believe, for the S Class which have the same length wipers. I may be wrong about S Class but check with your friendly parts specialist and please post the answer.

Marcelc Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: OEM wiper spoilers I don't remember which model, I do remember an MB parts man confirming that 22" inserts are available although that is in the UK, hopefully that also applies to the US.

ShinyML Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: OEM wiper spoilers I've just ordered some of these wipers from UK ebay. Mine are a different make as they are from a UK company but the same design. They keep the pressure constant over the length of the wiper instead of just the 6 or 8 pressure points accross a conventional wiper. Much lower profile as there is no spring mechanism and with a built in spoiler the length of the wiper so less wind noise too. Supposed to clean the glass much more effectively and last 4 times as long as a standard one. Apparently this type comes fitted as standard on the new Audi A8..? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-C-W203-Aero-AeroTwin-W... Edited by ShinyML 7/28/2007 1:30 PM

These aero twin wipers come standard on all new Mercedes and Audi as well as a bunch of other manufacturers. Edited by AsianML 7/30/2007 11:20 AM
