handbrake problems

handbrake problems

i have just replaced the handbrake shoes,rear discs and pads and everytime i push the handbrakedown and release it the cable pops off underneath on the ratchet, as if there is no tension on it to keep it there any ideas please

PM Wolfgang and see if he has any ideas. Sometimes he might miss a thread and he's very knowledgeable about these vehicles.

Here's a discussion how to remove the slack out of the parking brake cable. Hope this fixes the problem.

no it hasnt just seems weird that the cable on the off side underneath just keeps popping off when released as if its not under any load
