goldblue Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | need help replacing clips on sunroof on ML320 year 2000 I have ML320 year 2000. I had the sunroof left open overnight...was trying to close the sunroof next morning when it closed halfway and started making some click-click noise and then closed all the way through. when I opened it again and checked, the deflecter and metal arms are fine but the plastic clips that hold the arms are broken. I have checked online but could not find how to replace those plastic clips. Please help.

They only sell them as part of a whole new deflector assembly. My advice is to completely remove the entire pop-up deflector and replace it with an external "Nordleth" style deflector. You will be happier with less wind buffeting and no fears of damaging the sunroof track (a $2K repair!) with pieces of a broken clips and arms from the pop-up deflector.

Tarydesign Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: need help replacing clips on sunroof on ML320 year 2000 I removed mine the day I bought the car, (Thankfully because they were already cracked and waiting to brake!), MB should really consider selling these seperately since they brake soo often.. My ML270's were broken too. These Deflectors look good. And they are FAR cheaper than the kit the stealerships sell!! PS to stop the wind noise without deflector, open the rear quarter windows (if you have 7 seater version)- This really works well.

The only perminant fix that I know of. The side brackets and the way they are mounted are absolute crap. Mike
