| Mintex Brake Pads for ML???
My rear brake pads just came in from GermanStar. It says Mintex on the box and also says for MERCEDES ML Series 99-01. Then it also has 163-420-11-20 on a white paper stuck onto the box. This part number is the latest for the ML. But I'm not so sure about the 99-01 for my 05. Has anyone used these pads on their ML? I'm not so sure I want these. Any help will be appreciated. |

The part number sounds right. If you are not sure they fit I'd call Germanstar to confirm.

Thanks Wolfgang. My concern is the 99-01 printed on the box. The 163-420-11-20 seems like an afterthought label!!! I talked to GermanStar yesterday and they confirmed that was the correct part - that was before I got the pads. I went to Mintex's website and it's one of the most unfriendliest!!!!! I may just go with my MB shop's pads - the OEM 163-420-11-20. I don't undrstand why Mintex would advertice a 99-01 as 163-420-11-20; that's my primary concern!!!

Looks like the box was mislabelled. There is a picture of the correct pads on their website:
