| When do u replace the serpentine belt?
after certain miles? cracks on the belt?
or when do do you think it is a good idea to replace as preventive maintenance?

When you see cracks begin to form, it's time to change. Look at the loop where it can be viewed from the inside around the idler pulley. Cracks will be obvious.
