It is time for me to change my tires, and the original 255/65 R16 size is very hard to find due to the unpopularity of ML here. The tire store suggested using 235/70 R16 or 245/70 R16 instead

I'm also thinking to upsize my wheel to either 18" or 19".. That way I can upgrade my car visually and they have 255/55 R18 and 255/50 R19 tires available. I might not want to go beyond 19" due to potholes here, and I don't want to compromise the ride comfort too much.

For those ML drivers riding on 18" or 19" wheel, can you give me your opinions please? What is the advantages and disadvantages, effects to ride quality, handling, etc.

If I don't upsize my wheel, is it ok to replace 255/65 R16 with 235/70 R16 or 245/70 R16? Will there be noticable differences in the car's drivebility?
