PHOTO DIY OF PITMAN ARM ADJUSTMENT

Greetings.

Since DUTCH was nice enough to share the Workbook method of Pitman Arm Adjustment, to help me with my sloppy steering, I thought I would share
a photo layout of my rendition of the repair.

As a novice mechanic, it is geared more for the lower end ability person interested in trying it themselves (at their own risk of course).

It was a very easy job, done in under an hour.

This is just a tiny way of me being able to "Give Something Back" to those I have solicited help from in the past.

I am always up for comments/suggestions. This is my first attempt at any kind of image uploading, so be gentle!!

Re: PHOTO DIY OF PITMAN ARM ADJUSTMENT

Awesome job on the photos! Super clear and detailed. I wish I had the patients to stop and take pictures while doing the work! Then again I wish I had a camera that worked.....doh!

PS nice Rolex

Superb job with the photos... and thanks for mentioning me, even if it was for the wrong reason!

Cheers

RE: PHOTO DIY OF PITMAN ARM ADJUSTMENT

Always pleasure to see than people use the finest German tool to work on a finest German car.
They are a lot of people in US who wear the Rolex, not to many who use Hazet tools.
P.S. Patrick!, check your steering box seal, it may start leaking after adjustment.

Vlad, you have a sharp eye!

Yes, there was a bit of leakage from the steering box during adjustment, but it hasn't leaked a drop since!
Thanx for the concern!
