That dude is smoking crack if he thinks he'll get 55k for it. The nicest 416 doka my butt! It doesn't even have matching tires. I'd be interested to see more detailed photos to say for sure, but I'd say it's worth more like $20-$35. BTW smalk, I used to live in Bend back in '95, loved it. I understand I wouldn't recognize the place today! -James

Unless it has a turbo engine swap, a 20 speed, super fast axles, a center frame mounted winch, and a bunch of other goodies, $55,000 is completely off the wall IMO. It is a decent looking truck though, it would make someone a nice truck for about 25K. Cheers, Ben

I just thought it was a great looking truck! Bend is still a great place but you probably would not recognize too much. Fastest growing city in the entire US for a while! There are certainly some + & - to the growth!

Smalk, Thanks for posting, we didn't mean anything towards you, the price is just not in line with the normal market on these trucks. The Unimog forum here on P3 is pretty slim, so any contribution is definately appreciated. As far as I'm concerned please post up any mogs you come across ![]() Cheers, Ben

For the same money, I bought a 1996 U2450 in near perfect condition, with 20k miles on it. A 2450 is a lot more truck than a 416, and ten years newer. And a U500 sold on ebay for $78k recently, which is a lot better deal than $55k on a twenty year old 416. As nice as that 416 is, it can't be worth $55k.
