KERR, The 416's usually have a top speed around 50-53 mph, but you could always put bigger tires on it and turn the top speed on the injection pump up a bit to get a little more speed. The price might stay down on it, but last week there was a 1979 single cab 406 Unimog on E-bay that brought $37,400, it did have a bunch of impliments with it though. Cheers, Ben

That UNIMOG was a consignment truck on my lot for a couple of years. You may remember it as the orange one. It was in very rough shape and unless they did a lot of cutting/welding on the door bottoms, it is still going to be rough. It's funny that all of the photos in the auction of the bodywork are crappy. You can't see a thing in any of the photos.

They made pretty much all of the models of Unimog with a DoKa (crew) cab optional. I like the SBU's best, infact I've got a U1250L Doka being sent down to me to do engine work on and it will be for sale by it's owner once I go through it mechanically. You could also get a 404 doka with a soft top (convertable style ![]() Cheers, Ben Edited by Merz-Ben 5/3/2007 3:47 PM
